Xen: Ancient English Edition by D. J. Solomon

The Georgia Guidestones where built for a man known as R.C. Christian, by the
Elberton Granite Finishing Company. The Guidestones contain ten lines that Mr.
Christian wanted to be known as the “guidestones to the age of reason.” To this day
only one person knows the real identity of R.C. Christian, but no one knows why the
stones were built. Some of the people today believe that these guidelines are the work of
occults. The Guidestones are as follows:
1.    Maintain humanity under 500, 000, 000 in perpetual balance with nature.
2.    Guide reproduction wisely – improving fitness and diversity.
3.    Unite humanity with a living new language.
4.    Rule passion – faith – tradition and all things with tempered reason.
5.    Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
6.    Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
7.    Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
8.    Balance personal rights with social duties.
9.    Prize truth – beauty – love seeking harmony with the infinite.
10. Be not a cancer on the earth – Leave room for nature – Leave room for nature.

Most of these guidelines are implied and others are eliminated because of the nature of
the citizens in
Xen. There is an understanding of how they can fit in a world where one
man can make people to be what he considers perfect. This one man, the scientist,
Pawkey Seneschal, we meet in the beginning as he expresses his true thoughts of the
human race before he selectively destroys certain people.

In
Xen, Pawkey Seneschal creates a new chromosome that replaces the “bad DNA,
controls aging, and makes cellular homeostasis more robust” and even regeneration in
humans. He then sends a virus out that destroys most of human beings, who he
describes as scumbags or whose bodies will not repair them selves. The ones that are
left alive accept the extra chromosomes. When Pawkey developed the chromosomes he
started the process of guiding reproduction. Since the humans who did not die after the
Plague are the ones who are left to reproduce, they fill the Earth with humans who
Seneschal considers having kindness in their hearts, and seeking true repentance.
Stupidity is also removed because of this chromosome. Since the chromosome also
allows people to fix their own bodies, as long as their brain functions properly, there is
rarely any sickness or disease. After the plague, people view sex different than before.
They believe that the only way to experience sexual pleasure is to be at a complete and
understanding level with each other. Even after the couples are married it still seems
that they wait sometime before they actually consummate their marriage. Children are
only conceived when both of the couples are both “individually and collectively” ready.
As explained is the book, “the diversity of people ensures that populations are widely
distributed over the Earth,” living and working in many different communities.

In
Xen, there are lines on the Guidestones that no longer need to exist due to the fact
that everyone is hardwired not to do harm to anyone else. These are lines that deal with
rulings and laws. There are only two laws in
Xen covering every situation since everyone
will be “reasonably reasonable.” If circumstances arise when there needs to be a
settlement there is a “court of arbitration that changes daily and is staffed by citizens
over a certain age,” which most people avoid since they are objective to the matter. With
each person having anything that another can, there are no reasons for money or for
one to steal. Seneschal even states that, “given the nature and transformation of the
survivors, there will be no murder, rape, molestation, beating, assault or any other
violent or white collar crime.”

Since the world is viewed as one, Seneschal explains that he expects people will form a
new language, knowing that language was a barrier for mankind. There is only one
person who leads the Earth, the Minister, with many other people work with her to keep
everything in balance. Minister Esse and the Aliens both speak to all of Society using a
communication device at one time. People can travel across the world in less than a day
and would constantly be in contact with each other so language must be easily
understood. Proving that no one on earth speaks a language different than each other.

All of the citizens accept the many truths of life without much of a dispute. After learning
that the Aliens have the answers to what happened before the Plague, they accept what
they tell them about the “true origin of their Society.” Minister Esse even changes the
holidays to celebrate the days they learn of their truth and stops the holidays
“commemorating war and heroes of the horrible interchanges of Mankind.” In
Xen,
people have equal respect for everyone including their beliefs and ideas. There is
organized faith and forms of worship, but people are never put in a position to be
subjected to what they don’t believe. They speak to each other with much respect when
speaking their minds, knowing that they are not to harm others with their words. They
can take each other’s opinions graciously without being attacked for what they say. News
reporters are diversified making the news accurate without exaggeration. Even
businesses that have slowed down no who longer need employees only the owner, is
seen as one studying a subject rather than being a business. If a business is to close
completely people see it as a way to experience something new rather than being looked
down upon as a failure. Citizens are allowed to borrow items from museums; everyone
can view the beauty of things that were once considered to priceless to be in the hands
of one person.

Children are sent to live on a farm where they learn basic education and help with
growing food for society. Teaching them that with helping society each person receives
personal fulfillment. No one is seen as better that another individual because all of the
people are there to help Society. All of the people who reside on Earth are treated with
the same amount of respect for everyone, no matter what their job is or how they live
their life. People enjoy sharing their knowledge and answering questions hoping to
inspire others. There is no worry of competition or of people stealing ideas, since all
things are done for everyone’s benefits. This includes caring for the Earth. Everything
built is modular and every home has a recycling box that is used  to recycle things back
into their "basic raw materials and reused.” No one just throws away things anymore.
Everything has learned to live in peace, including Wind, Water, Mankind and Earth. To
the point where weather is controlled by the meteorologists directing only rain where
needed and cool breezes.

One can see how these Guidestones work in the story on
Xen, with them being easily
implied because of how people were changed into an almost perfect being. It leaves one
thinking, that considering on one of the stones located near the Guidestones there is a
line stating a time capsule is to be opened on date unknown. Is it possible that this man
R.C. Christian has devised a way to enforce what he believes on the rest of the world
without their knowledge of it? That he, too, is a man trying to make the human race
beings that he sees as perfect in his eyes.
